People wanting to help those less fortunate this holiday season can donate to Toys For Tots at Independence City Hall, 1920 County Rd. 90.

Through Dec. 11, the city of Independence is collecting new, unwrapped toys that will be distributed to needy children in the community. Toys for all ages will be accepted.

Independence City Hall is open Mondays to Thursdays, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Fridays, from 8 a.m. to noon. For information, call 763-479-0527.
