The 2009 Osseo Marching Band Festival competition results have been tallied and released. The marching band festival took place Saturday, June 27.
Osseo Senior High School was the host band, which made the band ineligible for a prize or placement award. Band Competitions have an understanding that in each event, the host band is judged and scored, but is not eligible for prize or placement awards.
In the Class A division, the following schools placed: First was Henry-Sibley, second was Maple Grove, third was St. Michael-Albertville and fourth was Maple Lake.
In the Class AA division, the placement was: First was Winona-Cotter, second Owatonna, third St. Cloud All-City, fourth was Lutheran Vanguard and fifth was Virginia.
In Class AAA, the awards went to: First was Waconia, second was Park Center, third was Buffalo and fourth was the Patriots.
The overall Best Colorguard award went to St. Cloud All-City. The overall Best Drumline went to Waconia. The overall Best Winds also went to Waconia.
The band taking the Grand Champion status was Waconia.
